- The Mesabi Metallics release of Sept. 29, 2026 refers to "a new steel complex in Iowa."
- The Governor's release of Sept. 28, 2026 refers to southeast Iowa.
- The Lee County government website and Board of Supervisors agenda list had no notice or agenda item about the project as of Sept. 29.
Lee County is named in news coverage of the Sept. 28 announcement, including Iowa Public Radio and CBS2 Iowa. This site will list the county as confirmed once a company, state, or county document names it.
